Many people have asked me if I’ve ever been to Alaska and the answer is, not yet! So how did I capture the feel of that snowbound world? Here are some resources that I used to research Alaska and the Alaskan gold rush. Have fun diving into the land of the north!!

There were two trails to Dawson City for the miners to choose from. The first was the jump off city of Skagway and the White Pass Trail. This trail was a bit easier to follow, except during the spring (when Elizabeth starts her journey) when the mud from all the melting snow made the trail nearly impassable.
