  • Always examining and reexamining the creative writing process, Brandilyn Collins battles with some reader criticism that some parts of her novel, Dark Pursuit, were not believable enough. Through her own experience of reading another author's novel, she discovers that an individual's life experiences might change the way he or she connects with characters.
  • Julie Carobini faced the end of summer vacation, wishing that it would last just a few weeks longer so she could enjoy some more time with her children at home. Despite the unusually cloudy skies in Southern Cali, she was able to make the rounds to several local bookstores to meet her readers and sign copies of her latest novel A Shore Thing. Meanwhile, she rested up on Sunday in preparation for sending her son off to college for the first time this week.
  • Kimberley Woodhouse reflects on her 33rd birthday when her son suddenly exclaimed that she was the same age as Jesus when he died and rose again. Though she and her husband shared a great laugh about it, she began thinking about all that Jesus had accomplished in those 33 years and what that means for us.
  • Similarly, Leanna Ellis contemplated the accomplishments of a beloved pastor who recently passed away. As she listened to the eulogy and observed all of the lives he was able to touch, she discusses how it inspired her to live her life to please the Lord.
  • Tosca Lee answers a question from a reader about which authors influenced her the most as she penned her novel Demon.
  • Tricia Goyer did a some hands-on research at a reunion of the 11th Armored Division, who have made several appearances in her novels over the years, learning a thing or two about the Spanish Civil War that preceded WWII. She also reflects on Jesus as the ultimate Friend to see her through the unexpected challenges of uprooting her family and moving to Little Rock, Arkansas.
